Hello everybody, i dont post here alot but i do look at quite a bit of the info on here.
I made this board in a wooden press and this is the first one i pulled out. i then painted it and started riding and so far it feels great.

the length is 29" at the widest 9"

I then decided there wasn't enough concave changed my press and pulled out another board.
This is the second board that i made in my press. it has slightly more concave and a thinner tale. the tale is about 8" wide.

the top ply of this board got glued to the press so it pulled off a thin ply on the top. i filled it with wood filler.

i was wondering what everyone here though about the shape and general design, and if you had any things that i could change to make it better.

not to put it down or annything. But it looks like it would be more at home in a pool than with slalom. Tail's to big for my liking.

even the second one?

Do you think even the second board has to much tail? i found the first one was to wide but i havent mounted the second one yet.

I think he means it has too much kick after the rear truck, where as boards like the axe only have like 3 inches between the rear bolts and the end of the board

I'd narrow the tail a tad..and yes,I'd mount the rear truck more on the tail and de wedge it

Moved back the truck

I moved the truck back today, but did not move the front back enough, the wheel base is now a little bigger than i would like it to be. its also really hard to test out now because of the snow.

Justin they look realy nice. Trial and error will make a perfect board for your liking and style.

Keep it up. I'm looking forward to seeing your stuff this year in Ottawa.

Luke! Watch it! I read that post about coming after me. LOL - I'll get my Grandson to get you.

just wondering if you have any pics of the press, or if not what style did you use and what kind of wood?

sorry for this answer justin.

he used a toothless press and 1/8 veneers of baltic birch.

nice job on it then. Its probably one of the most complex shapes Ive seen come from a toothless press

i would post pictures... but i dont have any. ill take some when i get a camera.

i've got wood in a press now and am working on a new shape and better finish than my first and second. luke also now has a board with his shape. if he wants to post pics that would be cool.
