free hand flame job

so people keep telling me to stop using stencils and acutally learn how to airbrush....
so i went out and got a free hand flame pallet.... and set out to teach myself how to airbrush ghost flames

it took 4 very different aproaches to the job to get it right...

i also broke my mask, so the paint fumes made me really sick... while i was tossing my cookies in the bathroom... it just sort of clicked.. and i rushed back to the board to pull this off... im pretty excited about it... i cant wait to get my hands on the chill big black, with its SUPER SMOOTH black surface, that is PERFECT for this kind of painting..

oh i should mention these pictures were taken before ANY clear coat was applied... so i have a day or two of clear coating to do.... most of that is the waiting game.... MY KINGDOM FOR A PAINT BOOTH WITH HEAT CONVEYER lol.... i have some friends that have this massive conveyer belt with heating elements for silk screening.. im thinking about running it through that thing on low heat... save myself some time

Did you know that some primitive cultures use blowing chunks to get to a higher conciousness? Looks like we've got proof positive that it works.

Very nice work. Is that an option on any of the Chitown decks?

hahah thats not my room.. thats the skate shop.....

(patrick switzer sleeps there, i thrashed his room while he was away for xmas)

i started painting again back inthe hall.... it was so cramped every time i moved away from the table something split..

so im thinking of renting out one of those storage places, and using that as a small work shop... i dont need a whole lot of space, but i need to be able to move around and have a decent sized work bench....

not only do i paint boards.. i restore them also.. so lots of sands and chemicals (paint stripper ect)

well i have some more stuff in the works.. im doing some grip tape for Adam Stokowski and Adam Colton
Adam^2.. i cant wait to get started on that for those two guys...
