the buckeye rocked.long weekend.every one stayed at the varsity inn, coincidentally,so were all the people participating in the ohio special olympics.when we rolled into the lot,my boys amped out at all the people skating the lot.good times on friday turned to serious on saturday.two races to run, first up G/S.i was jacked my boys both were running the g/s course.the tight was sick.i was using kennys scooter to pull people up the hill.at the bottom of the course i clocked kenny at 25 mph in the tight.everyone was bringing it,blr,dc outlaws, local ethan white, coss, daggers, chixill,DHB,but for me the cool story of the weekend was chris barrett.this weekend was his coming out party.on sat he nearly beat civ and took second in the tight,on sunday,he beat civ to take first in the hybrid.other mentions, rookie pros harms and fadell looking strong all weekend,i think fadell got fourth in the g/s,considering you are talking some serious racers there, what a result.
was good to hang with lavin, his boys, nova and his boys and me with mine.good, good company.
to nathan and ben,my sons, this was an awesome road trip, prolly the best and i am glad we got to share it.
one last thing,THE sickest swag pile i have EVER seen!thanks to everyone who donated, cfav

Noah,

Nice shot!! It was a blast watching you skate. I learn something new everytime I hang out at a race with all you fast guys...

Cfav and Nova, It's always good to hang with you dudes. I'm glad you two got an epic weekend with your boys... My girls are almost grown and it seems I miss them already...
Damn, my dad was right, life really will end up being to short...

The Buckeye was a full blown success!!!

This was the biggest event I've been to in over 20+ years. If anyone cares to know I ditched the Hobie (whoohooo!), built up a CHIxILL deck Novatny built, built up the Nature Boy-O from the Oles garage swap and hooked up an excellent Duane Peters for the next GS. 14th place in a TS just won't do anymore (not bad though on a 30 year old deck) - watch your back y'all...
