an open letter to red bull

after having seen and read what happened to eddy martinez i have to come out and defend a brothers back here in public.
eddyx was and is an asset to the international team!
he is a emabssador of the sport and also organizer of some very well known contests in the usa.
eddy is known to me as a very friendly and honest guy.

how can it be that a big company such as red bull gives mr.martinez such an unfair treatment after his fatal accident with the inflatable red bull arch?
this accident took eddy out of commission for over a year and he he still has to walk a long way to final recovery and full health.
isn't is bad looking if a big company does not want to back up people that got injured by a product of the company(in this case the inlfatable arch that failed on eddy)?

ultimately red bull has also harmed my businness interests in taking eddy out for such a long time as he also is part of pavel and representing the company at races.
i think people should be aware of this!

Red Bull is crap and does more damage than good to your system. It does not give you wings it clips them. They need to step up and do whats right here, but they won't and that sucks. Eddy is the man and a true sage in the slalom world. Heal quick Eddy.

What actually happened? I'd like to know about the actual story. Not everyone knows.

severe lower back injury caused by a deflating arch.

the arch is kept inflated by a generator powering a blower. When the generator ran out of gas, the blower stopped. The arch began to deflate in the middle of Eddy's run. Since it went from one side of the road to the other, there was no where to go but into it. Getting tangled up in all that sagging vinyl wiped him out big time.

So concluding from your post, it wasn't Red Bull's fault but the fault of the person who forgot to refill the generator?

Absolutely correct Ramon, but that guy, the one that forgot to put the gas in? He's the Austin TX manager for RedBull.

For those who remember, the exact same thing happened at Avila Beach for the 2002 World's. The good thing, though, is the sitatuation was seen at the top of the hill before anyone took a run. Racing stopped for a few minutes while the gen was refilled, started and the blower filled up the arch.

That's terrible news!!

I take it that Red Bull isn't even doing the right thing and covering Eddy's medical expenses?

Ok, good to know. Now it makes sense. So in that case is it RedBull to be sued or the person representing RedBull?

i don't think red bull in general is a bad institution, but there seem to be certain folks at red bull who are capable of giving a well estabished brand name a very bad taste indeed.
let's wait til the first guys get fired

all power to eddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
