So has anyone tried a splitfire on the new Randal 28º baseplate?
What do you think? A better option than the old 35º DH baseplate to deaden the back truck a little more?

I haven't tried it but I would like to. I already dewedge the 35° DH one to anywhere between 25° and 30°.

The new 28 degree baseplates are a welcome addition for slalom. The baseplate can be mounted with less of a wedge pad. The aluminum is higher quality than the 35 degree bases. The 28 degree base fits better on our standard riser/wedge pads. They can even be drilled to the new-school hole pattern if desired.
