For Tight its the Axe all the way for me ! The stiffness gives me the best reaction ! When I need flex on bigger courses I ride Pistols.

im getting one very soon i can't wait, well i have to until my funds catch up with my need for a better quiver but, this will be my tight board for the dc outlay races.

The AXE rocks! Richy will be sorry he let his secret out.

I picked up an Axe from Stridely yesterday, but I will not be able to test it until next Wednesday night at the earliest as I'm working this weekend and it's Jill's birthday on Monday.

I love the shape, I'll have to get Richy to sign it the next time I see him!

Although we have recently released the AXE II -- Big Brother to the original -- the original AXE is still alive and well. The latest batch available now has the new high gloss graphics featured on the AXE II. Here's a link to that for more info:

The AXE original has been on the podium since it's launch in 2004. The new AXE II is starting off with the same promise as it's little brother -- making the pro podium with it's debut at the Worlds '05. Thanks Richy and Maria... I am stoked and now convinced on board an AXE deck..

I rode at least 18 runs a couple weeks ago, before my day was cut short. Had just recieved it and set it up at 20" WB with my 90mm Splitfire wedged 15* and an offset indy on back, green avalons up front and manx 80s in back. I definately felt faster and predictable, more stable, that is ...until i flew off while cutting a harshly pumped toeside right through a curved part of our bernal rd course, a painful sideways highside flying landing.

But only... due to feeling overly confident in my abilities. Progress can hurt, but it's progress!

The AXE took me faster than i had been to date. I did hurt my lower back, banged my head (always wear a helmet -straps tight!) and am mending up well now. So now am saying that a stiff deck with this foot cradling kicktail, and the 1/2 inch of front concave lock my feet in confidently.

As Richy has commented on some of my fledgling TS progresses ----steep wedge in front, tighten up the rear bush, turn early stay low, eyes up - go for it!

I went for it and the AXE decks are amazing! Next try is the AXE ll

Thanks, oh yea, and i've spent big bucks trying out quite a few decks and the AXE design fits great! Time's coming when i'll put cones left standing completely UP behind me.

Hey, I love the boards ScottSonic is making for me, but as far as the Axe performance is concerned, Brad Jackman just beat me in our last CSA Northwest race in Vancouver on an Axe, Corey Moy has been using one and getting FAST, John Stryker's Sk8kings "custom Axe with the Other Shape" has suited him quite well. At Hood River's T/S this year both Jason Mitchell and Chris Barker used them as well as Richy(I don't remember the exact placings but all were at the top of the A bracket). So, it works and it works quite well. Schlater-Paul
