Surely you are counting the number of bright orange cone-hats you'll need to defile...

Word from Tway is meeting was put off again until Tuesday, so we won't know until Wednesday.
**Let me say this about that. This will be our 6th or 7th year in that spot. We have never had a problem getting the permit or during the race. Please plan on being here.**
As soon as get the word, we'll publish our plans, pricing, and open the paypal. We'll give all signed up racers a chance to pay and then open the rolls for our wait list.
FYI- The half pipe is installed by the bandstand

As long as everything goes as hoped - what town should we be booking lodging in?
PS -- Richy spoke to Olson and he wants to try and be there.

Go to
http://www.kayak.com
put in Norwalk, CT and look for anything on Main St. in Norwalk.
Homestead is $75 for 1 bed, Sheraton 4 Points is $76 for two beds, there is a Hilton Garden there too.
12 miles to Scalzi Skatepark for Friday, 19 to Bethel for Saturday, and 9 miles to Tway's for Friday and Saturday party.
We'll make a spot for Olson under the halfpipe. I'd be jazzed to see him in the vintage class.

We were able to keep the price down to $90 and it includes 2 dinners with bar & bands, drinks at park and hill, lunch at hill, and breakfast. We'll also have shirts again this year.
If you, are bringing an adult guest, we are going to ask you to assist in paying for that person, if they plan to eat and drink- $40. Of course if you have a guest coming for only one day, we can prorate the fee.

I'm in! Couldn't afford the $1500 for a plane ticket to the Worlds
but I could afford the free flight to Hartford I earned on Southwest.
Looking forward to seeing all the other Farmers. Is Vlad coming? TK? PSR? CMC? UR13? PDQ? Ilva?
B. Peck and I, along with Seb L., are planning to hit up the park in Bristol before heading to Scalzi. Fairfield looks nice, too, and is on the way from Bristol/Hartford to Stamford. Anyone else wanna join us?

Like, oh...muh...gawd. I'm in lust! Damn you, Tway, you've reduced me to blithering Valley girl-speak.
William Tway wrote:Plus Huntington is scheduled to open very soon....
Where's Huntington? (what state)
I was also considering stopping in Milford (you know, in hopes of meeting a MILF)
. But with all these amazing park pools to ride, I may have to put that off.

LFMAO Harms.
Huntington is in Long Island but not too far out. Less than a couple hours from the farm.
A Sunday Sessh @! P62 would be off the hook but I'll probably have some cleaning up to do...
If your lucky, there's a milf that frequents the pier in quad skates....
...she's actually in the pic I posted.

Farmer Seeking Wheel
Posted: Tue Aug 03, 2010 3:02 am
by T Whalen
This is not a flashback reference to the legendary occurence of Fatboy losing a wheel at the Bethel Hill.
I've been so excited by all the killer concrete photos being posted on this thread I had to go out and hit the Wellfleet SK8 park yesterday. Unfortunately, I flat spotted a wheel. Do any Farmer's going to the Skalzi Jam have one or two 65mm 96A (or other duros?) Retro Vertz wheels kicking around they might want to get rid of?
Send me a PM or see me at the Park if you got one or two you're looking to get rid of.
Thanks,
Terry

WOW. What a great time - thank you again Tways and Iacovellis and everyone else who helped. Perfect race day weather too. Reminded again that my skater friends are the best in the world. Loved the Slalom set by TK - one of the best SL courses I have raced on anywhere. The bands were great both nights but Fatty and the gang were in particularly fine form. I'm sort of in shock...having such a great time and then trying to assimilate back into normal life. What a gas man.

Hey Marty,

Louis won the GS, Hybrid, and Overall
Lynn won the B class and the women's division,
Dr Dan won the C class,
Pierre Gravel won the vintage,
Me and FatBoy won the catamaran,
Brian P won the DH,
More to come I'm sure... Thanks to Tway and is great family!! JoeI and is family! All the racer's and cones heads, the bands!! The ramp next to the bar and band that was so epic! Wow what a weekend! After friday my legs were already done from to much bowl skating.
Thanks again for the craziest weekend of skateboarding in my life!!
Cheers!

Greatest weekend! If you missed it you wouldn't understand. The Farm is the ultimate skater gathering. Hat's off to the Tway's, Iacovelli's and everyone that volunteered to make this event happen.
Congrats to all who raced and I hope that everyone that crashed heals quickly.
Two thumbs up to Louis Ricard for being the best dressed and fastest skater.

I'm thrilled to have been a part of this debauchery, what a race!
THANKS Joe and Bill, everyone who contributed. This was a special crowd (short-bus "special" in a few cases), and an amazing event that I'll TRY to do justice telling my grandchildren about when I'm transitioning from senile to incontinent.
Here's my version.
