Antrim's Pastor Peggi Boyce dies of heart attack
If you've raced in Antrim, you've had your board blessed by Pastor Peggi. She passed yesterday from a heart attack. If you would please leave a short note wishing her peace here or on FaceBook, Brian Beihl has promised to make sure her family gets your messages. I was skeptical about being blessed when Brian first told me about it, but Peggi was so nice, funny, and not at all "preachy". It turned out to be just one more unique and wonderful thing about being in Antrim. RIP Peggi and thank you for your kindness.

I am honored to have met Pastor Peggi. A great loss for Antrim. A real jewel. I'll never forget what she said to me when I first met her, and told her my father was an Episcopal Minister - she placed a hand on my shoulder and said, "you seem to have turned out OK anyway"...then winked at me. Thank you Joe, for introducing us to Antrim and all the wonderful people there.

Rest in peace Pastor Peggi - she will be missed by all the Antrim Racers!
Having been to every race in Antrim, I'll miss the annual chats at the pizza dinner or breakfast and most of all the mid-GS blessing. My heart-felt condolences go out to her family, friends, parishioners and the Town of Antrim
Her kindness was appreciated by this racer as well,
Terry

Hi, Can/Am Skaters:
Just wanted you to know that the Rev. Peggi Boyce's memorial service is this Monday, January 23 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Antrim, Main Street. You are welcome to attend, but if you can't, we'd appreciate a word from you.
I've enlarged Louise Bilodeau's great photo and will put your tributes in a small booklet form for the family. If you would like to make a comment here or at the Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Antrim-Ca ... 74?sk=wall , please do so by Sunday night so I can put them all together.
Thanks for your support.

I'm sorry to hear about Pastor Peggi's passing. My thoughts are with her family and friends.
She remains in my heart as a great, charismatic woman open to all people she met.
She will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear about Pastor Peggi's passing.
I always appreciated her warmth, interest and gracious spirit in opening the church to us and joining us strangers (and some of us are quite!) each year.
As awkward as it was, I do feel blessed, to be blessed by someone who would -"Bless these boards and those who wiggle".
Thank You Pastor Peggi. You will be missed.

Re: Antrim's Pastor Peggi Boyce dies of heart attack
I looked forward to Pastor Peggi's blessing every year - truly was a highlight. She took the time to come up with a new blessing every year and they were always entertaining - like her. And she always took the time to chat with the skaters, whether it was at the race or at breakfast.
I was priveledged to sign her shawl, and she wore it proudly every year.
It was an honor to know her, and we will all miss her terribly

Re: Antrim's Pastor Peggi Boyce dies of heart attack
Thanks everyone for contributing a thought or remembrance to Pastor Peggi's memorial. I collected them all, integrated some pictures, and color printed little booklets for her family. They really appreciated all your support.
In talking with her brother yesterday, he said he thinks that she was drawn to skaters, teens and other "outsiders" because she felt she was an outsider all her life. Her family portrayed her as a wild bird, that even years of serving the church didn't tame.
Thanks again for your good thoughts. And "God bless all who wiggle."
