Its possible to use Avilas on something like Super G slalom, but i wouldn't use them on tight, or hybrid for sure. They are simply too large, and also dont grip as much as a smaller wheel. they will HAUL through a big, wide open course though

hey... i wouldn't do anthing on the wheels before we meet and have a sess.
you probably will also want to build yourself a different board after the session.
just keep on riding your board and enjoy it the way it is now.
you'll get a lot of insight into several things after we had our first session.
there you can also try a few things out and compare+you will get a lot of input at the course.
i think that's better for you to see things in real life than just internet advices.
here's my home phone# you can call me in the evening after 8 pm.00492115382440.
then we'll talk a bit and things will move on from there.

We will be running some cones pretty soon at the Old floriade terrain. Going to be some nasty, tricky runs, but most likeley very entertaining :P

+ we session almost every Friday and Saturday evening here. Depends on work and the weather.

YES! I can only recommend the Pavel decks.....I am riding one myself AND Donald supports and pushes Slalom, whereas sickboards is only in for the money.

Boyd- look closely at some of the set ups in Dixie Cup on that website- it should give you an idea of proportion and so forth.

Your trucks are quite wide relative to the deck.
Try turning your wheels around it will make the overall width less and likely a little better for slalom.

I also had a slalom deck where the wheels were much wider- I was 15, it was a Henry Hester Fibreflex deck with Trackers. It was easy to pump with the wide trucks- the board was only 5 inches wide, but for racing the trucks usually are not much wider than the board.
One good turn deserves another
