Wedging advice

I was looking for some info on wedging my trucks.
I don't know if its all about preference, but I just got a khiro wedge kit, and wanted to know the best degree of wedging/dewedging for my trucks.
If it helps, I want it for TS, and I ride rts/x's with khiro whites up front, and blues in the back.

Front truck - fat end "in" (towards the rear of the board), and wedged steeper than the rear

Rear truck - fat end "out" (again, towards the rear of the board)

You'll have to experiment to see what works best for you. I use extra risers and super steep wedging in the front, in the rear I prefer slightly wedged and as thin of a riser as I can get away with.

Since I hijacked this thread a little I thought I might be able to give you a bit of info.

Check out this thread over at Silverfishlongboarding

It doesn't exactly specify what degree to use but it's pretty informative. I run 10º positive on front and 10º negative in the rear. Not really by any design but that's what had so that's what I use.

If you have the Khiro kit I would experiment and see what you think works best. That's really the bottom line. It's what works for you and there's really no hard or fast rule.

It would definately help to know what trucks you are using.
Trucks come in all different turninesses (just made a word up) requireing some, none, or alot of wedging depending on what you're using them for and where they are mounted.

When I was riding standard trucks, for tight slalom I heavily wedged my front truck and slightly de-wedged the rear truck.

Stanziale told you right.....EXPERIMENT till you find what works best for you.

I assume you do understand what purpose wedging and dewedging serves?

10* front and back (Fat ends toward the rear).
Or, if you only have one 10* put the 7* in the rear.

That is pretty standard.

Hi all, Great forum here! Glad I found it! First post...

Here is my TS-Hybrid set-up:

PP Brown Bomber Hardcore series
OG Bennett Pro's spaced out
wedging: 15 deg. (positive) front and 10 deg (negative) rear
Manx 69's (78a rear, 84a front)

Not sure if it makes much difference (I'm a newb myself), but I have Khiro wedge kit risers in front and a Khiro soft wedge in the back.

Front truck (15 deg. pos wedge):

Is it common to de-wedge offset trucks like Sk8Kings modified tracker RTX? Or, should they just start out flat and tune from there?

As far as i know all trucks need wedge pads, even the 30°RI rear Slitfire needs a little bit of dewedge.

I have a narrow board, therefore I am running on 85mm Tracker Mids. I have the front on wedged 15* and the back one de-wedged 10*. Works really great for me.
