wheelbase info needed

Post by Matt Grant » Fri Dec 26, 2003 5:07 pm

Hi,

I'm constructing a slalom board to learn on. The deck is 28.5 x 8 and I'm not sure what my wheelbase should be. I intend to try and learn tight slalom with it. I've had the wheelbase measured at 19.5 inches but i'm not sure if this is going to be too big.

What would you veterans recommend for a wheelbase length for a beginner?

Matt,
I recommend 17.5" to 18" inner to inner hole as a typical TS wheelbase for conventional trucks. Drill it so you have around 3" of deck length behind the back truck mounting holes so you can put your back foot more over the back truck if wanted.

Hi Matt,

I recommend a wheelbase not under 19''. It lets you get faster trough the whole TS. This wheelbase is perfect for a swiss OS (TTC) at the back and a truck of your choice in front.
