Since the creation of this site, we've been insisting on user posting with their real name, not using pseudos. This was an idea from Adam Trahan, well worth continuing.
Here's what you need to do:
1.
Regularly check the list of new members for new aliases.
2.
Write to the person who registered asking for their real name.
3.
If obtained: Update the name in the profile.
If not obtained: Temporarily update their name to something like Smartie [Full name required]. Ultimately if left without solution, consult with me on how to remove the post and registration.
Included in this job should also be to delete bogus users signing up but there has been very few since we updated to the current version of the software.

New position: Avatar management
I still need someone to help out with this task.
I also need someone to volunteer to do Avatars and subtitles for new members or those that want to change their avatar.
I estimate that there's 1 or 2 every week, so it's not such a hard task.
No extraordinary skills needed however you need to be able to:
a) rename images
b) resize images
c) upload images using FTP
d) manage the admin part of phpBB (no prior phpBB experience needed)
PS. Yes I know it would be great if we could change our own avatars, but it requires a bit of recoding of the current system from my side, and I just don't have the time to do that. But, yes, it's on my ToDo list.

Nobody got the job to help out with user name management. For no real reason. Maybe I was just slow and lazy. Just like I have been trying to follow up on all new registrations.
The avatar management is done by Wesley Tucker. You can send you own avatar to him at wesley AT slalomskateboarder.com.
I think it is important though that the person who takes on this job (whole or part of it) is a regular and somebody who knows a lot of people.
Candidates are most welcome. I don't think I can do a good job at this.
