TENNESSEE SLALOM

Post by Wesley Tucker » Fri Oct 13, 2006 10:49 pm

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but there seems to be a really burgeoning slalom scene in Nashville. The skaters involved are using the SKATETN.com Tennessee website exclusively to communicate their races and results. Here's just a few threads from the "sessions" forum:

If you go to the index there's more and some with links to pics and video. I don't know who "rwadley" is but he appears to be the impetus for getting this off the ground.

Yeah. These guys are going off. Watch this scene closely! I've been in contact with them a couple times to help them out, give them advice/info about hat's going on the "the neighborhood."

We are just getting into slalom, but we're getting better.

Ah. The INFAMOUS RWadley.

Robert, is the stadium parking lot still the "spot" or have you scoped out others?

I've noticed on SKATETN that you reference some "secret" spots and if anyone wants to race they have to contact you directly for directions. What's the deal with that? Is the bust factor high?

Keep us informed. The past few years I've raced a bit in Northern Virginia and Maryland up north but heading west to N'ville is about the same for me. I can make it in about 7.5 hours and it's closer for the Jaw Ja and North Carolina crowd.

we have several spots. the stadium is really good. I don't announce the location on skatetn because we don't have permission to be on their properties. once I get permission, I'll post the locations.

actually, I don't mind posting them on national forums, just the local one. there are several people that might shut us down if I posted a race location on skatetn.
