Sunday, June 12, Dual GS

This hill has high quality blacktop with a decent runout. Starts mellow,
drops at about 6% and flattens toward the end. Good for a 60+ cone Hybrid course with plenty of speed, and good for medium fast GS (slower than pump station, faster than Breck). Ramp starts, Trakmate and Chronocone timing. Table Mountain Parkway is 60' wide and a couple of thousand feet long.

Saturday, June 11, Dual TS Slalom
The famous Spyderco site will be used for the Tight slalom. This is the same location of the 2004 Colorado Cup. This is a 700' long stretch of butter smooth pavement with a deceptively fast finish. Video clips of the hill will be posted for your enjoyment. We decided against using the Hill in Boulder near CU as the cost of the logistics was prohibitive.

$40 entry fee covers both days Golden (3 races). $25 kids and ladies.
Prize money based on registration. All money goes to the purse after expenses (permits, insurance, etc.). Insurance cost more than doubled this year, and new permit fees exist. We need 22 paid adults to cover cost of the event. This leaves little for the prize money for the purse, but this will be a legal race with plenty of competition and prize schwag. So if you want to take a crack at the current World Slalom Champ, World Overall Champ, World AM Champ, World Junior Champ, (must I go on...) come to Colorado (a world ranking PRIME event) and throw down. If you are too intimidated by the talent in Colorado, you will elect to stay home and read about the Cup from your monitor. This comment is intended to bait a certain Southern California pipe fitter to travel to Colorado and show us how to run the tight.

Race bracketing will be set up to allow for the greatest number of racers going head to head. Last year everyone raced in a competitive bracket. This will likely be an 8/16/16 scenario, or some multiple thereof. Kids, ladies, and new racers are encouraged to race.

There are plenty of cheap hotels in town. Surrounding towns are Lakewood, Arvada, and Wheatridge. Or you might be able to swing a couch from the COSS crew. contact riders@coloradoslalomDOTorg. Maps and race day schedule will be emailed only to those who sign up on the contest calendar and include an email. Sponsors interested in helping with race logistics and site space please contact Fluitt.

Just booked my flights.

IT: Arrive Denver June 9, 05 at 8:56 pm on US Air 395 via Philly from Ottawa.

Depart: Mon, Jluy 13, 7:00 am, Den airport.

Sorry for such an early departure but it was $250.00 us more to leave later.

J & T can you still pick me up and get me around?

Thanks, looking forward to running cones with you. Also the course descriptions are great but will I need to food brake at all just so I can pack some extra right shoes.
Many Happy Pumps!
