St. Louis winter session, January 2006

Click the link below for a video of a couple of runs from an unseasonably warm day for winter in the Midwestern United States. Jeff Goad set a snakey course down "Goad's Grove" in Tower Grove Park. Cone spacing was moderate, I'd say from 6.5 to 8 feet, but the curves made it tricky to go fast. Everyone was a bit rusty at first--no slalom for any of us for the past couple of months at least--but we all seemed to have a good time. We missed shooting some of the most interesting footage--getting the kite out of the tree, and Goad confronting a group of kids who were actin' the fool and throwing cones around as they walked through the course. This was shot on my little Casio digital camera, so it's not very high quality, but hey, it was just for fun. Enjoy!

P.S. Be patient. It's about 17MB in size, so it may take a while, but eventually it should load. Or you can save it to your computer via the "This media file's URL" link.
