Jani on national French TV - "J'ai osé"

Post by Vincent Berruchon » Wed Nov 10, 2004 11:12 am

Here it is a short broadcast presenting Jani: business man and skateboarder!
This daily brodcast "J'ai osé" (I suppose translation should be "I dared") presents not so young people who have not so ordinary activities!
It has been recorded on the main French national channel TF1.

<a href="http://js.d.online.fr/Jani-TF1-081104.avi">THE VIDEO IS HERE (click or right-click and "Save as..)"</a>

Spot: Magic Trocadero Slope, Paris, France
Riders: Jani, Alexei (Jani's son) and a part of the <a href="http://www.riderz.net">Riderz</a> crew (VinZzZ, FaitLeZen, Allan, Panda, LTC...)
File size: ~7Mb
Time: 50 s
Comments: We were asked to slalom as slowly as possible... strange isn't it?
Video encoding: Avi DIVX 5.11 (you'll need quite recent coddec to view this file)
Encoded by: Quaso from Rennes Longskate http://RennesLongskate.free.fr

PS: Do you understand my Frenchy English?

Hey Vinzzz!

Great to see that you spread the wibe in Paris! I liked the Vinzz city, although I think it could have been more sex and drugs. But I'm swedish so I guess I'm supposed to think so (at least the sex part). :)

Anyways I totally understand the not so Frency english, but then again it can depend on the fact that I speak (or type) Swenglish myself...

btw I think I have a few clips when you skate in Antibes. Would you like to have them, and if so where should I send them?

I was unable to play the video in Windows Media Player, RealPlayer or Quicktime. Sound was there, but no picture. "WiMP" error message said something about a "missing codec". Can anyone offer any suggestions on what else I might need to do? (I don't know exactly which Windows Media Player version I have, but I'm pretty sure it's the latest available.)

Sorry to clutter the forum, but I'd like to see what the heck is going on!

Feel free to send a private message if you prefer. Thanks.

You will probably fix the problem if you download last DivX codec, you can fint it for free on www.divx.com
If it still doesn't work with Windows MediaPlayer, try with DivXPlayer that you can install with the codec.

Thanks, Vincent. After I downloaded DivX, it worked perfectly. Now if only I could understand spoken French! The only words I recognized were slalom, skater, competition and ordinaire! :-)

I think I got the gist of it anyway: Part mild-mannered (?) businessman and family man, part slalom skateboarder.

I like how they did the split screen of tying your shoe! :-)

That's about as much as I understood as well...

Anyways, I'd like to say congrats to Jani for finally getting rid of that old avatar ;)
