GBJ or Q, can either one of you make a pass by the P&R to see it's condition. Give us a report.

You know I'm going to get a longboard slalom course set as part of the day. Need to carve some cones to bring back that surf/snowboard feeling.

I can do some recon. Haven't seen any significant happenings during the daily drive-by (no construction, etc.)

Team Q will be doing the roundwall thing down in St. Mary's June 10th... (so we'll be unable to make this gig)

Looks like we are going to have a good turnout. Glad to see Davmo and hopefully Aaron will make it up. Too bad Bulldog is having a shindig the same day so JD and Q will not attend. THat probably means Nino too. I left a message for Kimball and will e-mail KMG. Parsons, LBK are in. Bozi may show. Hopefully some Northeasters will make the trek. WesE?GBJ? Spread the word!

I'll be on a camping trip. Last time I checked P&R still looks the same.
I started a new job downtown and drive down Sherril Drive a couple of times a week, that would make for an exciting slalom venue.

You'll need to bring brooms. There's a 4x5 patch of gravel near the top, and some glass about halfway down. If you're lucky, the street sweeper brigade will come through and clean everything up. They did ALL of Montgomery Village's main roads last weekend. The pavement has another winter of wear, but still pretty good shape.

Have fun!

I'm planning on coming in from WV. What's the address of the P&R? Where's the closest/cheapest motel? And if any travelers want to split a room on Friday night, drop me a line.

Lenny,

I'm coming from the South. I don't know if any of the GASS or DHB crew is coming or not. I'll be spending Friday night in Fredericksburg and driving up Saturday morning. After the race I'm coming straight home.

There was going to be a race at Fountainhead in December and me, Karr, Schaub and Olsen were going to hook up in Statesville and drive up. That race, though, got snowed out. I'll send an e-mail this week to see if anyone is hip to that again.

Wes,

Thus far, the plan is to come up Friday, skate Saturday, then meet up with the family in Williamsburg after the race.

Hey you DC crew. Anyone coming to the Buckeye in 3 weeks. Slappy, Vlad, Parsons, Geezer ? Its a super easy drive and we have the Killer Hill for 3 solid days. You guys used to be into it. Word? Did you forget how much fun the slalom weekends are.

I hope a few of you come on over. Where Wes E?

We have lots of swag, the best pros, free beer, a killer hill. Take off Thursday, miss on day of work, have 3 days of racing and partying, and be home by 10 oclock Sunday night. I made that Columbus to DC trip 6 times in 2002 and 2003 and its simple.

See you there.

The P&R (triangular one at the top of the map, exit 11 southbound 270 will dump you directly into the P&R, exit 10 northbound 270, go north on clopper, turn right at Quince Orchard, P&R is on your right after you go under the RR tracks) :

The weather forecast is looking great for next Saturday, high temperature of 79 with only a 20 % chance of rain. Let”s hope it stays that way!

People coming up I-95 from the south might want to keep an eye on this web site.

Well, for any of you that I manage to miss tomorrow, I'll be sorry to have done so. Unfortunately, my work schedule for tomorrow just changed. I'll have to leave to head to work by about 11:30 a.m., without actually getting a chance to race. Grrrrr... Oh well, I'll be sure to drop by to say "Hi", in the morning.

Hey Andy!

Hello boys,

I'm sorry I cannot attend, but I am sending a CT delegate. Luke will arrive with his lovely 19 yr old cousin well before the race starts. She has never slalomed and can be asigned to a duty, Luke is a solid B class racer.

PLEASE make them feel welcome and Luke is in need of a decent set of front bushings (khiro?). If you guys could put your egos on hold for a moment and help him out, I would be most appreciative.

Hope you all have a great day,

Joe

Well with GBJ not racing, that is one less person that is going to whip me on the hill. Anybody that has slalomed in the last two years is going to have a field day on me. Now if only WT gets stuck in the Wilson Bridge traffic jam, that would be another one that I would not have to worry about schooling me.

See you punks in the AM.

I know this is late, but I just got here.

Ohm, Parsons and Lenny Poage are meeting me for breakfast around 8:15 in Gaithersburg. Anyone wanting to come and eat with is us is sort of welcome. It really depends on who you are and whether or not we enjoy your company.

I'm staying at the Holiday Inn at the corner of Montgomery Village and Frederick Road. Where is that? Well, if you go the Park and Ride and go STRAIGHT under I-270, you'll come up to a stop light at the corner of Frederick and Montgomery Village. We'll be right there in the hotel restaurant.

No Saturday breakfast buffet, though. Sorry.

Damn. Maybe WT will get food poisoning eating bad Denny's food.
