There're a few details here and there...What's that guy is doing right behind Borat? Holding the string?

Mike, I was right. Civ went to race PRO in 2004 in Paris, and switched to AM after qualifying 22d in PRO TS. He then got 3d in AM Special SL, and 6th in AM GS, and managed to get 8th overall in AM points. I'm not sure if ISSA has taken his 22d qualifying position in PRO class into the point calculations for the AMs.

I think this fact deserves more attention then the curent discussion (which in my opinion has no basis).

Ok, I went to Park and Ride today. The surface is as good as usual, but major sweeping is needed. Plus this thing is parked right in the middle, so parallel is out of question…and with the same wind as today, single lane racing wouldn’t be fair.

I go far far away very very soon. Good bye and good luck with the race/s.

It wasn'tthe same without you Jeff... there was no rain...you never called...if you want to split - no problem...I think we should have started seeing other people like a long time ago...

Q,

Moi was the guilty party.

A couple of State Boys where very interested in the parked Peterbilt, shouldn’t be a issue anymore.

There's going to be a race in Moscow last weekend of August. There're 2 Trackmates, over 200 cones, a few great hills, good cheap food. $800 to get here and back.

You're welcome to join.

There might be a bigger race in September, but that's not certain yet.

I think I have Parsons hooked on a new spot. This location has alot of potential. Definately a great single lane spot and possible tight duals

Look for a Sunday outlaw in the near future.

Ok people, this is in the early stages of planning, but we're having the first bowl riding contest at Fight Club on Sept 9th. My plan is to have a downhill/slalom earlier in the day, then FC that night. Race will probably be on Sherill. Stay tuned for more info.

Ohmster,

i just called Priceline. The refund on my ticket is a no-go, so I gotta do the Colorado thing.

Man, if only you had posted something earlier! :-P

Hey, by the way, nobody asked about you at The Farm. It seems everyone, though, was rather concerned about WesE.

Ohm, I cant do Friday night but would be really into a sunday session at either Tysons or the Arlington Park.

The farm was a blast this year. It helped me get my stoke back a little.

What do you guys think about an outlaw series exclusively at fountianhead this winter? Both slalom and downhill.

Dates starting after the Dixie cup.

There will be an outlaw race on Sunday September 10th on Sherril drive in DC.
This following a contest/party/SOB fundraiser at Fight Club on Saturday night.
Race is tentatively 12pm-3pm, depending on hangovers. O'Shei is coming into town to be a judge on Saturday and wants to run hill on Sunday. Palmer from Albuquerque is a possibility among others. If anyone wants to run cones that day as well, bring it. Let's get a mob scene going.

Party should be fun with:

McRad
Lost Tribe
Satans Boys and Girls Club
and others on the bill!!

Theres a rumor going around that FC ain't long for this world. Come out and get it while the gettin's good.

Sounds fun...are we talking downhill or slalom?

The reason I ask is I think I am ready for real legit downhill racing.

I am all over fountianhead this fall and winter. Only about 2 months until they close the gates.

s or dh?

Brian, it's going to be a DH race but we could run a GS as well. Ditto on the Fountainhead sessions. I love that hill.

Glad to hear you're in for some DH.

I would even be up for a Fountianhead session if anyone would be so inclined.

Wow! Went to look at the new Olney park yesterday. The pool looks awesome. One of the park builders was present and skating. He says the new Greenbelt park pool is even better. Me? Sam Boo and I took the guy to see Pepco Bowl (about 700 yds. from the new park), and I, setting foot on a board for the first time in more than a year, borrowed his board, pushed in, hit a large, hitherto unrecognized crack and pulled a 220 lb. Superman right into the bottom of my favorite, childhood skatespot. I took the impact, all at one time, all the way down my left side, from the palm heel of my left hand at the end of my completely upwardly stretched left arm, up the underside of arm into the armpit, compacted my ribcage to the now bruised pelvic point, am sore on the outside aspect of my left knee, and have a neat little bruise on the little ankle knob on my left ankle. I was pretty stoked. It was a maximum spreading of impact on a major slam, and I bounced right back up. It wasn't until several hours later that I realized I've apparently cracked several ribs. Oh well... it hurts when I s**t.

Skated Arlington this morning with BP then we went to Fountainhead. The backside was unrideable due to debris. We forgot brooms but it would take a good amount of time to clear. We ended up setting a hybrid course on the front hill. I forgot just how good that hill is. The back hll is still the best hill in NOVA though. Earl showed up and layed down some clean runs after being absent from running cones for many years. Hey Boswell, you better watch out for Earl.

Next weekend looks warm again so we should do it again. If anyone has a gas leaf blower we can clean up the back hill for some fassssst runs. Fountainhead is so fun so shake off the cobwebs and get some.

from me to you: Ohm, Boswell, Earl....we're the '61 crew!
I spent my b-day at GSL from about 3pm til dark. I helped a kid from Mt Rainier drop into the shallow and then an oldschool skater, James, who I skated w/ in Silver Spring in the 90s as well as in DC back in the 80s helped the same kid drop into the medium bowl....another skater from Mt Rainier plus another high schooler from Northwestern enjoyed the fun in the bowl. We also skated w/a deaf skater from Gallaudet. A fun time by all....maybe I can catch up to you Ohm & BP next wknd? Hey Andy, your description of your slam at the Pepco Bowl is painful for me to read...heal up quickly....shoot me an e-mail about Olney...is it poss to sk8 it on wknds? I was there last week on a Friday and I checked it out, then helped the guy who was hauling out the storage container. I saw a few stress cracks...one looked like it happened after some retard drove a heavy piece of machinery just outside the fence....seems like this could've been a landscaper...the park looks nice....I cannot wait to skate it.

Joking..My tie shot was within 1in24,000So that parts good..I shoulda known Ohm was younger, we graduated together and I was about the youngest in the class! He's still a lil' punk tho. ;-)
