You wouldn’t happen to have a police officers uniform would you? :-)

Come now Vlad. Now that there is $$$ involved don't you think it makes more sense.

I agree PLR's time is past. Besides punk died in the early 80s.

I'd say something, but the new song is music to my ears. I wouldn't want it to stop.

Walker Lane is on the map and in the search. Being gay doesn't prevent one from skating pro courses. Being Black, being Jewish, being any minority does not as well. The only thing that prevents one from skating on pro courses is one's sex, namely being a woman. Women have to deal with race courses for low-birth babies, old people who can't any more, beginners who can't yet, and lazy bums who don't want to practice technical slalom and who become narrow long-board specialists exclusively on amature courses.

You want to insult me, call me a woman. You want to joke, call me a woman. Being called gay has lost its edge.

I'm a looser.

When I woke up today, went pee-pee with the last night's beer, I knew I was a looser. Why? Because I drink, I **** and I sleep. My job's a joke, my life sucks. I think I use skateboarding as a substitute for real-life success. The only similarity between slalom and I is that we both have no future...

I'd like to eradicate GS, Super G, Hybrid, ramp starts, downhill slalom and the proponents of all of the above mentioned, and to erase any records or it from the history of skateboarding, preferably along with the owners of the throats from which the pollutants advocating the opposite are emitted.

Jealous cowards try to control
Rise above
We’re gonna rise above
They distort what we say
Rise above
We’re gonna rise above
Try and stop what we do
Rise above
When they can’t do it themselves

We are tired of your abuse
Try to stop us it’s no use

Society’s arms of control
Rise above
We’re gonna rise above
Think they’re smart
Can’t think for themselves
Rise above
We’re gonna rise above
Laugh at us
Behind our backs
I find satisfaction
In what they lack

We are tired of your abuse
Try to stop us it’s no use

We are born with a chance
Rise above
We’re gonna rise above
I am gonna have my chance
Rise above
We’re gonna rise above

We are tired of your abuse
Try to stop us it’s no use

Rise above
Rise above
Rise above
We’re gonna rise above
We’re gonna rise above
We’re gonna rise above

Ladies, the stage’s been set; we are given a green light to blow off part of competitions which we don’t like and that have a potential of being condemned as gay (although gays have as many rights as straights in slalom, and I think the inferiority should be emphasized with the word WOMEN).

Here how the new slalom world order could work:

First, run your favorite discipline and see how many will blow it off for reasons of sucking at it or disliking it. Then, run the discipline in which the champs & the stars are proficient and boycott it. Potential conflict----->Artificial segregation----->Dual domination with no confrontation.

I think the idea of showing up at the race and blowing off part of the competition is marvelous.

This old smoke filled bar is something I'm not used to
But I gave up my home to see you satisfied
And I just called to let you know where I'll be living
It's not much but I feel welcome here inside

And I've got swinging doors a jukebox and a barstool
My new home has got a flashing neon sign
Stop by and see me anytime you want to
Cause I'm always here at home till closing time

Yes your majesty.

Because promises of the type - "Straight Slalom, 6 feet= 1,80 meters, 60 cones" and "no rules will be changed during the race" can quickly be broken under enough pre$$ure even in the "world class" races, we should start practicing 2.5-meter straight slalom. 2 meters has officially become the world’s straight slalom format, and considering the aging field of lazy bums and the involvement of indu$try in course setting, 2.5 meters aren’t too far away. It's good to be ahead of the game.

Oh, this is good. I wonder why no one got paid to remove this post...bye-bye :D

Word is Henry Rollins is moving back to the DC area. He supposedly bought some land in Springfield (near Walker Lane), no joke.

Bob Mould of Hüsker Dü has been here for a few years now. SST might have to open a retirement home here.

Wait isn't that what the Dischord house is now anyway? "We're just a Minor Threat." doesn't ring as loud and true now-a-days.

One of the best album covers of all time BTW. That album brings back so many memories for me. Being a pissed off teenager and finding the straight-edge movement...still brings a smile to my face.

I own an original pressing of that record with the ultra rare DIY photo-copied sleave. The one of two peices of vinyl I own.

I was always a Dischord kid, more than any other punk scene. Though I am a bit young to have been around there during it's salad days when I got into hardcore all the dischord bands were definately huge influences on me.

That and emo art school girls driving 80s Volvos wagons with Fugazi stickers on the rear window....

Oh the memories.

To make this even remotely slalom related. I ran cones for the first time last night in 2 weeks. I ran a 5k at a 8m30s pace then did 20x5.5' OC for 45mins (Vlad would be proud). maybe Minor Threat or Dag Nasty on m ipod would have motivated me more.
