LANSDOWNE HALLOWEEN BANKED PARK SLALOM RACE Sat Oct 29th...

Post by John Dillon » Tue Oct 04, 2005 6:35 pm

It's official...so get your racing Halloween costume ready as you must race in costume....there WILL be a 10-second penalty if you don't race in costume(and you cannot race as yourself, even if you are scary looking). Lansdowne Skate Park will open at 10am on Saturday Oct 29th. There will be 2 events: Firstly, a Halloween costume contest where you must be able to roll past the judges. Secondly, a banked park slalom race where you must race in costume(so wear something in which you can skate around. Helmet and elbow and knee pads are required by all skaters. Waivers must be signed by parents of all skaters 17 or younger years old...no exceptions. Contest is free of charge. Skatepark of Baltimore and Surfrider Foundation, Capitol Chapter volunteers will judge and run contest. Cabbage & myself will set a new, different course than the last one. Come on out and have some fun.....bring some swag if any of you have any connections....all donations for prizes will be gladly accepted and donees will be recognized at the presentations of the awards. This race will be held on the concrete skate park...the rest of the skate park(modular) will remain open during event. This event is officially sanctioned by the Baltimore County Parks & Recreation. Be there unless you are square!

Waivers.... get your waivers here.....

Here's a link to the waiver for skating at lansdowne:
http://resources.co.ba.md.us/Documents/ ... waiver.pdf

If you are a minor, you need a parent present to fill out that form, or you can get it notarized.

Hey if you guys get done with this and want to bring the party to VA to see my band play at 9:30pm at Jammin Java in Vienna, Virginia that would be great. Alcohol will be served but no smoking in the joint. I personally cant make it to anything during the day cuz I have marching band states and then I'll go straight to my gig to set up and warm up and sound check everything. But if your looking to see three good power metal bands come out and support us. Its only 9 bucks to get in (ITS A STEAL) have a good time at the downer and please take pictures for me to laugh at later.

great course and race on saturday. A big thanks to Dillon for putting it all together. The course was rad, even though i couldnt get through it. Sorry i couldnt stay till the end

speaking of the above "malfuction", no one should ever have to see a grown man duct tape his own nuggets to his leg while he has a tutu on. its just not right.
