Vintage/Longboard Skateboard Day Indefinitely Postponed

Post by David Riordon » Sun Oct 31, 2004 4:19 am

Hate to do this but I'm going to indefinitely postpone the Vintage & Longboard Skateboard Day at Vans due to a combination of the happy event of a pending addition to my family and the fact that the Vans' corporate risk management people are struggling with the event. One of the hang-ups is insurance issues. Normally I would have the time to deal with the sticking point and get everything squared but my personal and professional life is leaving almost no extra time.

I hope I have not inconvenienced anybody with this late notice but I have not advertised or promoted the event this year.

Dave,

You're getting a puppy? What kind? And is it housebroken?

Dave,

Congrats on the "pending addition"!!

I had a great time meeting you and racing you in W.Va..... all those reruns just add up to more skating time eh :-)

Have a great holiday season, Tod

Congratulations from Jenny and me!! That's great news.

Keep us posted on this. As always, I'll try and make it up because it sounds like a great time.

in case anyone wants to join (hint hint wes e), a bunch of us are going to go to arlington from 8-11 or so then to st marys at 12. Bring some cones and we can set up a fun slalom course at arlington (i have a sick one envisioned and it would be possible that early in the morning).
