vintage race?

Post by Seth Levy » Thu Apr 29, 2004 11:14 am

what are the rules for the vintage race? does only the deck have to be pre 1980 or the whole setup?

Seth,
It is my understanding that the deck, wheels, and trucks must be pre-1980. The bearings, truck bushings, and hardware may be current.

At Da Farm, Hyper stradas were not permitted, but Kryptonic C62's were OK.

So, as long as I put my C-62s back on, both of my present, normal set-ups will do. That's convenient.

Ick w/ wedged Mids

Quicksilver w/ Gullwings

I have my friends dads old banana that im bringing but i dont have any pre 1980 wheels it just has some like year old hawaii k's would that be ok? I dont know what happened to the original wheels and the board is a pool rider anyway but its still cool as anything and a blast to ride so would it be ok?

ok...I will put my rad pads and midtracks with tk051s on an oak plank I made and with some 62mm stradas on it...

not vintage to the spec for this race.... but as vintage as I am going to get....if you squint it will look vintage.

If gilmour can run his fullnose and call it vintage, my "plank" is just as vintage...haha!

NO newer wheels.

I put together a 70's plank...upside-down from original...with Bennett Pros and RoadRunner3's up front and sticky TO's in back. Sweet for the TS stuff, but not too fast.

I'll throw on the C-62's if i need more speed. Bringing the Sims Turner Team/Fulls/Kryptonics Tom Peterson Project II's for fun.
