Hey, right now im riding a 38 " cosmic 2. To add to my collection, I am looking to get a longer deck with less flex. I don't want the nose to have a kicktail, and i really like the classic surf-style shapes and wood tones of some of the longer decks i see. Can you guys tell me what decks you thnk are good in the high 40 " range? thanks.

I'm considering the comet pintail... what do you think?

Dude, please don't start a new topic every time you have a question. We have, like, too many strings as it is. Try to find the appropiate subject and post your question there. Also, if you limit yourself to the DC forum you'll have less chances to get the answer you're looking for, or you'll simply get lesser # of answers.

Check out the entire forum. The format's a bit complicated, but you'll get around...

Vlad.

If you want to support local manufacturers, you have two choices. Bozi and PlankkR.

I'd go with a Bozi.

yeah, Bozi for sure!!

They are truly beautiful decks, and Jeff's the man. Hopefully you'll get to see some in action Saturday.

Plankk-R's for when you get a bit more.... advanced.

Hey Vlad, our fearless moderator, [edited part: okay, administrator, if you will], speaking of the large number of threads, is there any way to archive some of them so the board's a bit less cluttered?

I asked Dr. Trahan that question a long time ago. Frankly, I don't see a problem. Esp. compared to other forums. But if there is a way, we shell implement something.

A separate folder within a folder would be nice. Like, DC Archives, or something. All "Winter" series, "Hello, I'm Bob" and other threads could go there.

Personally, I'm happy with the way things are. New members "get it" sooner then you think, and it's only natural to ask qs as separate threads...at first.

In conclusion, I don't moderate. This forum is very civil and stable. Posting under one's real name and knowing most of the participants personally makes all the difference.

I'm all for the separate folder within a folder named D.C. archives, like stuff that's totally dead and sedimented at the bottom of the page.

Check out the Bozi Mad Bomber...it has no kicktail but it does have a lil concave that hugs your feet....an excellent board to cruise through downtown or race a GS course...the pintail drop-nose is another option too from Bozi. I hear that Picket fence-sock drawer board company is coming out with some longboard models too...and Plankk-r....Gravity has some nice options too...I prefer the 57" Ed Economy model, but there are some shorter models in the 40-something inch range.Let me know what you decide to choose>

I ended up ordering a 44 inch fibreflex pintail with randall 180 mm's and krypto 76 mm's.
