I got an E-mail fom Simon.
Greetings Justin

Silverfish longboard will be doing one of their broadbased tests on the
Flex_One trucks in early
November, which is the earliest date I can supply them. From what I can
understand their range of
tests will cover every possible application. Some of the riders out here
(Australia) feel that these trucks work best on long boards. Others
including myself feel they work best on a shorter stiffer
board with kicked up ends, so you can really work the springs for the best
results. The only photos I
have on file are of earlier prototypes, which are fitted with a bash plate
which really limited any
grinding. The final production model which you see on the website has the
bash plate removed, and
grinds far better. Delivery is only a few weeks away I'll email you as soon
as there in stock.

Kind Regards

Simon h.

Besides, how is that thing supposed to work?

The website seems to be claiming that they are the inventors of torsion arms on skate trucks. Hmmm....

OK,

It's interesting and looks like it has merit. In going over the website twice, though, I never saw the product. Furthermore, they want $198 US apiece sent to Australia for the goods.

Maybe I'm just too cynical for my own good, but I think before I sent over $200 to a foreign country, I'd like to SEE the product, not just well-conceived and executed CAD renderings. Again, I'm not casting aspersions, but all I can think is they are hoping to get enougn cash PAYPAL'd to them so they can do a production run. Or if nothing else, get enough cash to generate at least one prototype.

No, I'm not calling anyone a cheat or saying C-flex won't deliver. Asking for money, however, on just some drawings that anyone could do with a decent PC is either a very savvy marketing maneuver or someone just doesn't quite understand what it takes to sell a skateboard product: mainly, a product.

Good luck to C-flex. I hope it all works out.
