Any slalom competitions this year in MTL?

Post by David Baron » Wed Feb 24, 2010 1:07 am

I was wondering if anyone was planning to organize a slalom competition this year in MTL?

If not, I'll be interested in setting one up this spring or summer:)

David I don't know if any of the MTL crew is planning a race or not but once the snow clears they will start having practice sessions.

Keep and eye open for some Quebec city races as the FB crew are planning a few races as well.

We will host out 7th Annual Dovercourt Open around the July 1 holiday so keep an eye on that one.

I am presently living in Cornwall and hope to run a few clinics here before the ummer as well. Some personal issues have kind of got our fulll planning on hold for now but there should be lots for you to get involved with.
Many Happy Pumps!

Hi David, it's cool to see there are some new slalom riders in Montréal!

We will have a few outlaw races in Montréal for sure and like Claude said, the Kryspy Hill crew in Québec will have a few as well.

If you already have something in mind to organize a race, i will gladly help you if you need a hand.

Come check at our forum for more acurate info and to hook up locally to ride:

Great news, I'm going to join your forum that's for sure..., I'm happy that there's some active slalom skaters in Mtl and some upcoming events:)

Btw, I've started a Facebook group, named 'Montreal Slalom Skaters', too get more people interested.

Good to see that more peeps are looking to get into slalom in MTL. It hard to do and event in the city like MTL but we can always run some outlaw races at our little spots. For the Facebook page?? I think we have enought slalom forum to talk about our seesion. No need to have a group on FB to have 90% friends that don't even skateboards....

But thats just me...

Burlington is 18 miles from me - but if you convert it to Canadian miles, it is indeed half way.
