Dovercourt 2009, July 1

Post by Claude Regnier » Tue May 19, 2009 5:00 pm

Yes it is on. Same as the last couple of years as the holiday (the 1st.) is mid-week. We are making arrangement for accomodations at the residence as usual.

We have been informed and are awaiting the contract that we will need to get 10 rooms for the lower rate however.

We may have some other options for some of you coming in early. As MB & I don't actually live in Ottawa at this point we can't offer any spots.

We will talk with the Quebec crew this coming weekend and get everything posted soon. Our plan will be similar as last year. Try to run an outlaw GS he evening before and run the Hybrid & TS on July 1, 09......

Maybe I can trade my July 4th holiday for the 1st...didn't work last year, but worth a shot.

Yesterday was a pretty rough day for both MB & I. Just a little spent from everythng going on of late and we leave in a couple days.

I'll get them on all the site as quick as I can!

Results!!!!

Post by Claude Regnier » Fri Jul 03, 2009 8:23 pm

We had great day of racing here in Ottawa, Canada. Celebrating our countries birthday and crowning some New and returning Canadian National Championships. Although the Outlaw race the evening was rained out we did mange to get some run in on a very difficult TS course.

We need to Thank, NCDSA for the registration, Dovercourt Recreation Center for their continued support, The neighbors all of whom by the end of the day were on our side ( sometimes a couple of t-shirts will put a smile on the frowning faces).

Special thanks to MB for the work on the awards. Bernie (for giving up his racing comeback to make things run smooth), Mig for his making sure things were working. To everyone, that showed up, and lent a hand. Also to those that couldn’t but really wanted to for one reason or another. You helped us get this far and we missed you all. Just think next year we are on a Thursday then it’s the weekend so plan for it early, EH!

Claude, in America the "weekend" is Saturday and Sunday. ;-)

Glad you guys got the races in! :-)

Equally bummed I could not be there. :-(

Congrats to the winners!!

I can't read in French. Even when it is translated to Vermontian.

I get it now.

I'm packed and ready to go - will be stayin' with J and Terri.

EH!!
