Seeing as the theatre is like a mile from my house, I'd be a fool not to go. I'm in. Parking garage session afterwards?

I drove through some hella big storms on the way home, so I hope the A bracket finished up dry. I had the most fun day of racing ever. After following Brian Parsons for a couple of runs, and aping his toeside pump, I finally saw good accelleration in the top of the course, which has always been my w...

Wes. I have a Homelite (Vlad, anyone?) I bought at a pawn shop for $50. Harbor freight and Northern Supply have generic Taiwanese blowers new w/ warranty for the same kind of money. The best? Echo. Home Despot sells Echo, but it's not their house brand. Actually it's widely considered the best 2 str...

The most popular thing I see, which works really well, are Tracker Stimulators, which are readily available from several suppliers. Put the bushing on a 3/8" bolt in a drill, and use a file or 80 grit abrasive to turn the big shoulder off the outside. Either use 2 fullsize bushings and a longer king...

I had back to back consecutive slams on my left shoulder in the Cyberlslalom at G3, and hadn't considered the load I'd subjected the shoulder to from my hands on the pavement. It wasn't really painful for a couple days, but worsened steadily. 3 weeks later it's really improving. The pain was localiz...

What's the difference between the a bull and the lawrence Welk Orchestra? On a bull, the horns are in the front, and the assh@le is in the back... Started playing the drums about 10 years after I started skating, and it was punk rock and being in bands that finally pried my attention from skating. N...

Yeah, I use an arbor I made and chuck them in the lathe and cut them. I didn't mention it since I hate to foster lathe-envy, but since you brought it up, it is the best way, Mr. MCREE, sir. I use the finest feed and a thin finishing cut, dry, with a round nose carbide bit with almost no rake. And I ...

In the middle of the exit ramp off of 270 to clopper road, an the way to the old park and ride, is being paved as we speak. It looks pretty interesting, I think some cool course options are possible. I hope to deflower this perfet virginal pavement tomorrow after work...

If we're assuming a conventional 2 bushing type truck, the compression of the weight bearing bushing plus how much the bushings are preloaded needs to measured and accounted for. In addition, the degree to which the centering bushing is compressed during a turning cycle is dependent upon truck geome...

Yes Vlad, a 6" disc sander in a 110v ac drill will work ok, albeit a bit slowly. Use 60 grit abrasive, and finish up with 120. A belt sander also will work well. Experiment with the angle with which you present it to the edge of the wheel. The Idea is for the sander to spin the wheel, but with slip ...

Thanks for posting the tangental grinder technique, Senor' Chicken. I'll caution you kids who do this at home to be sure to wear a respirator, and I mean it. Urethane is fuul of isocyanates, which are a nasty neurotoxin. And I think they make your thingy shrink, too...

Just to clarify things, I charged Vlad precisely nothing to swap 8mm axles into his so called Tracker team trucks. The advantage of straight axles is probably greater in hybrid and GS courses where lateral grip and predictable sliding are most important, since the point is to rigidly hold the wheels...

Actually, not to disparage Pa Dan's accomplishments, I actually finished 3rd in the senior division. I guess I should be flattered to have been mistaken for the under 35 riders, but despite my evidently youthful appearence, I'm 43 and feel every day of it.
