I had to leave before the race was over, so I don’t know the results.
Still looking to know when the next race is.

Sorry I had to be so lazy this time - I only had minimal sleep last night, plus had to conserve my energy for a commited event I had today right after the race. Glad to see Chris and Noah back. And a Big Welcome Back to Curt! Brian, when is the next outlaw race? I see one listed this upcoming Saturd...

Meteorologist (who also plays one on TV) Bob Ryan said that wind should be low by Saturday. hey can someone spot me some knee pads on saturday? Anthony, I’ll bring an extra set for you. Bring the one that you still have though. It will help alot if that one is for the right leg, because the extra ri...

Re: Biltins ABEC rating?
FWIW, recent measurement of Biltin showed that the Abec 7 model measure out to the same as the Abec 3 Biltins. Similarly, the Pleasure Tools Abec 7 has tolerances in the 3 range as well. He says this is common with the Chinese bearings and that Chris and Ed may not even know that their suppliers ar...

Yeah, I know I can do either of those things (well, not WesT’s solution, as I need that $2000 to go towards a replacement vehicle that I will need two months before yesterday). My primary statement is that, instead of going to the trouble of retrofitting Midtrack hangers to RTS baseplates (if what G...

The only bearings I know of that aren't made in China are Bones Swiss, Ninjas (japan), and Rockets (nmb in singapore). Really, that's all? GMN is not made in China. Neither are Fafnir, Hoover, etc, etc. I haven't seen any of those since the 70s. Is anyone still marketing skateboard bearings made by...

Erin, the Mummy would definitely work as a slalom deck. I just think that it would be easier for you to learn pumping on a smaller board. To make your Mummy turn properly for you, just get the softest bushings you can find plus a couple of wedges. Check your longboard shops for these items. Also ask...

I plan on being there. Just to be sure, is it the P&R that is on 123, almost as far as to Route1 (the one that Anthony Flis was describing)? There is a TacoBell on 123 nearby, and I believe an Ames store. I don’t arrive there the same way as other people, so I wouldn’t recognize the directions that ...

Danny, The hill starts right about where the gate is. From Rt.123, it is possible to see past the gate somewhat and a little (less than 1/3 the way) around the curve. Anthony, I think you can safely do a mass start race on that road. We did it there after the slalom outlaw race. Riding down with eve...

Sounds fun, Anthony. Make sure to plan out beforehand where people can park. You can’t park just outside the gate, or park employees will notice and come in to bust. If you can park somewhere else, such as at the quarry that is across 123 (I'm not sure if you can though), you could enter the park wi...

Brian has the domain (click here), he just doesn't have the patience for the funky software that he tried to build the site with.
Brian, if you are reading this, you should draw up what you want on paper and someone will whip up an html for you.

Anthony, It's really too early to decide. A short range weather forecast is pretty much necessary for races in the winter around here. I can say that the optimal spot for racing would be the Gaithersburg P&R, due to its size. Fountainhead is really a practice spot, and backup spot for when the other...

Sizing for PD pads are given in a link for it here: http://www.prodesigned.com/M3.htm
I just got another bite for elbow pads.
That makes:
Three (3) pairs of elbow pads and one (1) pair of wrist guards for people at the other site.

I am definitely in for: One pair of heavy-duty knee pads, with open back and made with specific fabrics (1000-denier cordura in color-beige for the outer covering, and a fast-drying fabric for the lining. Measurements still need to be taken for the pads, but my general-size is medium. I am waiting o...
