What a great weekend at Brixlegg - 'a gathering of legends!' as it said on the t-shirt. The skate park is beautiful and the party was epic! One to be at next year for sure. Thanks very much to Donald Cambell for making it possible and lining up so many great sponsors. And thank you to Chris Hart fro...

Thank you for a Great Race!

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the race in Stockholm. I am now back in London with some fantastic memories. The jam format qualifying, timing system, food and cone judging were all excellent. And when there was any doubt we just reviewed it on video! The competition was really close - it wa...

I have been asked about the no-timing equipment races. Its true the last few races using timing equipment (and the technical problems) have taken all day - double elimination is flowing with lots of race experience - important for newer racers You may have to do a best of 3 for equally matched racer...

Slalom! Mag

I was at martin's camp a few weeks ago - it's amazing how quickly people learn slalom when they have just been snowboarding. Especially the girls ;-) Everyone loved the mag - it made them realise its a real sport. We will be back at Martin's camp on the the 7th August for more skating and snowboardi...

Summer snowboarding and skating

I would say there is no better summer holiday - snowboarding, skating and blue skies. And the one piece bikinis by the pool are a sight to behold.
In fact I'm going for two weeks. See you soon Martin!

racing without timing equipment

We have done races without timing - it's easy. The rules - cones up to say 5 - no penalty - then dq. The start 'racers ready - 5 second warning...... go' This ensures a fair start. The finish - first across the line - video camera at the finish line for close replays. And the problem of bracketing i...

FibreFlex slalom boards - order now

I have been riding Fibreflex boards for years. I got my first in 1979. They have worked great in all the contests I have skated in lately. They are old skool but still feel great today. And everybody who sees the Fibreflex logo remembers it from 'when they used to skate'. Well, as Deb said order by ...
