Ok, I sent off my registration request to the e-mail address above. I would appreciate it if I could get a sponsor or someone to help me get signed up. Howard Gordon and Jack Smith helped me get signed up for Elsinore (March of 2003) the last time this happened, maybe I can get someone else to help ...

La Costa Open 2004?
...I found some reference a while ago online about the posibility of a La Costa race this summer.
Is this true?
Can we have some information here about this race?
If it is going to happen, I will attend and want to promote it here.
Thanks in advance.

I set up the site for growth. Retrospectively, it appears that I have included "too many" forums. My view of the sport is perhaps that it is larger than it is. I think it should be larger than it is... On any account, I will add a "General Bearings Forum" to the long list of forums including the one...

Re: A newbie's quest for pumping wisdom
Questions about pumping: 1) can you pump the board in a straight line or does it always have to be turning? 2)trucks - how tight - does it matter much? 3) camber in the board - does it help or hinder? 4)tips to help in learning and practicing this technique? Please enlighten me. thanks Hello Erin, ...

Re: Unweildy newsgroup?
Well, at first glance this newgroup looks pretty tantalizing with its many and various categories related to slalom. But after checking in for a while, it would seem that perhaps there are too many categories as a lot of the sections have very few people posting... disappointing for a newbie. I try...
Let's come back to the real world, the subject of this post is: do you think a lot of riders will fly from Europe with the risk of being arbitrarily treated like **** by airport customs agents who think they are playing in "Texas Ranger", and then to fly back on their own charges, for leisure ? If ...

I wonder how many Iraqis complained when we invaded France to free the French from a tyrant ? Cool. I appreciate you guys keeping this on the level. France gave us a gift, the Statue of Liberty and they also helped us with their Navy in the time of our independance. The Giro Switchblade offers chin protection. If those guys say "No" to ProTec, I would definitely investigate other options. I don't mess around with helmets, I buy the best that I can find. If I had unlimited funds, I would be wearing one of those Icaro's. Don't compromise, buy the best you can buy.
