Placed as far forward as possible, this Tnr block allows the foot to be right over the front truck (in this case a Radikal) whilst preventing 'foot creep' over a comparatively short nose. The block is a simple design, beautifully engineered and one that will accomodate both goofy and regular riders....

In addition, would it be possible to include details of the typical recommended wheelbase for each deck? For example, There are little clues as to the design purpose between the Holl 31" and the Bullet. Both look good, but would one be better suited to 'hybrid' or short-spaced GS than another? ...an...

Well spotted Glen! The deck is one of Gareth's pre production Crossfires with the kevlar base and came with the double drilling. Because the board is so stiff for my weight (10 stone) I used the outer holes in order to get a bit of compliance, but also to have a wheelbase around 17 1/2 inches. These...

Slalom kicktails

Having seen various slalom kicktails in use at Grueningen to good effect, I thought I'd pre-empt Gareth's S-Camber design and knock one up myself. My main interest was not so much to increase pump leverage, but more a way of giving a rapid foot locator to the pushing rear foot. In such a way the kic...

Corky,

I thought you did too darn well for a sick man. Next year I'm relying on a pan-European epidemic to boost my position.

If the website is still in the development stage, then one feature that might be included would be the capacity to overlay the line-drawings of each deck with another. If the front truck mounting point was used as a centre marker, then a potential customer could compare and contrast foot spacing dis...

Jon, Jim Slater swears by the wider version of these trucks. Jim 'Nutsack' covets and recommends them too. Both guys demonstrate how tight UK slalom should be done, and having seen what Luca's running at Grunigen it pretty soon becomes clear that some of the older products have a geometry better sui...

Checked out Farlow's http://www.farlows.co.uk/ this am for JR Hartley's tome on Z-Flex and the Dogtown phenomenon. No sign. They did, however, offer me a dual-purpose dog that could both ollie and carve. Down boy.

I ran one of the Kevlar-based pre-production CrossFires on the flat at Hyde Park, following Paul Price's Thursday markings as closely as was viable (6-7ft mixed offset). At the end of the couse I put eight cones straight, five feet each apart in order to test the TS capacity of this deck. The CrossF...

Nice is about 12km from Antibes, apparently. <font size=-...

The Swiss boards do have a cambered flex similar to the arched back of a hissing cat. With a comparatively soft flex to the American equivalent, there is greater inversion when the deck is down-weighted in pump and so approaches a 'bottoming out' situation. This greater flex and liveliness is in par...
