Here's what I want: Rec/Slalom kneepads, open back Rec/Slalom elbow pads Wrist guards I don't need custom sizing, but I'd like to give Bill the measurements and let him choose the size, since my current pads are department store fare and who knows how the sizes correspond. For wrist guards, I take a...

Barry, I am in the market for new pads. (Elbow, knee, and wrist guards). I've been meaning to contact Bill, but I guess I'm a SLACKER. Anyway, like Wes, I'd prefer "open backs" on my knee pads, however they do not need to be super thick. Wes must fall....I mean skate...more than me ;). I'll be watch...

Hey Eric,
Have you been successful putting straight 8mm axles in the metal Seismics?
If so, I can keep you busy for a while

Seth, I'd try Flashbacks in the 92 duro. Has anyone else been disappointed with the Gumballs? I got four 88a, four 78a and 2 84a. At a recent DC Outlaw Bozi Longboard race, I had 88's all around. Grip was terrific, but the course didn't require exceptionally grippy wheels. I put 83mm 78a Flywheels o...

PS Decks
Hi all, I'm looking at two Roe PS decks, the Unlimited and the Crossfire. All the online vendors that I was able to find listed the flex as "MED/STIFF" or "ONE FLEX". Now, being a bigger guy, I'd like these decks as stiff as possible. Do I need to contact Gareth directly? Can the vendors help? How s...

Pat, The only reason I can see for practicing in the wet is if you might race in the wet. In motorcycling, for example, it's good to know how your setup ( tires, brakes, etc.) works in the wet in case you need to run in the wet. In slalom skating, however, when racing in the rain rarely, if ever, oc...

I agree with Slappy, park and street should not be included. Just the other day, I was thinking, it would be nice if we who attend the DC races regularly could present ourselves as a "team". (No WT, I'm not looking for free swag!). T-Shirts would be enough, I'd even pay for mine  I just think...

OK, got my directions printed. I used 1500 W St. NW on Mapquest. Wondering where I should look for a place to park? I have lots of boards and also 50 cones. PS, Thanks Anthony, hey are you a Bozi Team member? Can you hook me up with a 36". I promise to win a DC Longboard Slalom race with it  ...

Hey Jon, Lucky you to even have Lazers:) Back in the day here in the US, midtracks were pretty much the standard. Of course, we (I) were (was) a lot lighter then. You might want to try Tracker RTs/RTx or the new Seismics, or if you want to really want to blow some money, PVD's or Radikals. Try every...

I'm sorry, Howard, and Adam. I did not intend to put down the TTC. When I rode John Gilmour's prototype it was light years ahead of anything else available. I still have both of the ones I purchased, and they are a very good product. My opinion is just that, and I am far from a top pro contender. I ...

Wes, Apparently, unlike most of us, Curt actually leads a meaningful life, which means he can't always make the races. Good for me, since he and some of the other really fast guys weren't there today, and despite my severely lacking practice, i managed a 2nd and a 3rd. Brian will be posting full res...

Glenn, I have two of the TTC's, but got a Chicken Indy a while back, due to wearing out pivot cups. My Indy was recalled so I put the TTC on the Indy base, and it was a MUCH better fit. I do not notice any major difference in "feel" when going from one to the other. I haven't ridden a Tracker offset...
