I've just modified 2 90mm and 1 107mm front and one 90mm rear. So far I can only say that they behave beautifully. Quicker turn, yes, but also more precise. I’ve also lowered my wedging to 16 dgr, in front and flat rear. So if anyone have any thought … just try it. Other then the wedging what mod's...

Yes, I am talking about the spherical bearing mounted in the hanger. Can anybody that saw the modified splitfire in Ohio give me a idea on how the spherical bearing was attached to the hanger? was it pressed in somehow? was there a mechanical fasterner?

Good news (weatherwise) it looks like the heat wave going to break this thursday. Just in time for the Chicago Deathrace 2006. Next weekend temps are predicted in the low 80's.

Has anyone thought of modifing a splitfire by adding a pivot bushing to the hanger (like a radikal has)? Would this be worth doing? A 3" kingpin with a shaved stim underneath and two bushing on the top of the truck (thus the 3" kingpin). on top I run a clear radical and a conical white khiro with no insert. That's great news Chris. After missing the Buckeye Open I'm jones'n to race again. Does Grant Park have a hill suitable for a GS course? Racing in Grant park is a experience within itself. Great city vibe with awesome skyline next to the lake.

My understanding is that a lighter weight board takes less energy to change direction while in motion. Since slalom skating requires moving a board from one direction to another, a lightweight board is easier to maneuver. Think of a pendulum that has a heavy weight at its end, as the pendulum swings...

doh.. i wish i would read posts before I try to reply.. i thought you were asking how to get to tower grove?

You could alway just hang out at the park. or go see the Arch (10-15 minutes away), the Zoo & science center is 10 mins away, both free.
