This place is so cool. It could become the best slalom spot. The hill is just the right kind of slope, it's wide enough to do parallel races. With banks on the sides it could be even more ultimate as it would allow all kinds of riders to cruise down the hill. This is a great way to revive slalom rac...

Russia - Saratov ramps

These ramps were built in Saratov around 1990 (as far as I know). They are high and give good speed on flat ground. Once again, these ramps are heavy and would not move when you pull off. The slope is S-shaped and quite gentle, but with the height of the ramp, beginners might be frightened the first...

Sweden - wooden ramp in Täby

Here are a few pictures of an old ramp we had built in 1978. It was used for quite a few local races until the early 80's. It's primary advantage was the heavy weight so that it would not lift when two racers pulled off at the same time. It also had a convenient transition, although straight, and a ...

These ramps were originally built for the 1993 Pyrenean Adventure Games, where Gilmour, Dunn, Brown and Hickey represented the USA, and Luca Giammarco took top honors in slalom and Hickey was unbeatable in the downhill. Here are a few photos of the ramps used in the Swiss tunnel race Nov 2002.
