The same course will be used by pros AND ams, due to time scales, but rest assured it will be more pro than am, and more tight than loose. The Brits have a reputation for fast, tight and steep. Jani, I discussed palns with Len, but he said every metal workshop would have different tools and ideas and access to materials. His shop has Ally and Stainless which is ideal. In all likelihood the surface will be acid etch primed, if that surface is grippy enough we may leave it at that, or we may paint with matt. if we dont do that skaters use coca cola wash to add grip to metal ramps. I've just made this little starting device for Dual lane 'random' starts. Most people will be travelling up Saturday afternoon/evening. Some may leave VERY early Sunday morning.

Whilst I feel timing to 1000ths may be an ideal, in practical terms 100ths is sufficient for a great race. Id hate to see it a requirement for ISSA status to have to have 1000ths. You can buy a 6 digit display that will show 1000ths above 10 seconds, but thats an extra cost for little benefit.
