I see a lot of frustration in these posts--people who seem to feel that nothing is being done to move slalom, or maybe just the ISSA, forward. I also see a lot of energy, from the same people--offering their opinion and their best suggestions for how they'd like to see the organization improved. I w...

Love the "trough" idea, Michael--brilliantly simple. But the word "trough" is just screaming for a bit of Bennett-style or Chaput-style trademarking, branding or sexing up. Love groove? Boss Trough? Oooh, I've got it--the English Channel! :-)

Wow, more cutting-edge stuff from Michael.

I realize it's just a drawing, but how close will the kingpin be to the ground? That first drawing with the pink bushing makes it looks like it would protrude pretty far beyond the hanger and axles.

The Bennett is a great front truck, especially if you wedge it about 7 to 10 degrees (skinny end of wedge toward front of board). So your front is fine. For the rear, though, you want a slower-turning truck, so it just kind of follows the front along. The RT-X turns more quickly than the RT-S, so th...

Good advice from both Lenny and Rick, IMO. From your description of wedging, dewedging, etc., sounds like you're on the right track with what you're riding. In my experience, the RT-X doesn't really come alive as a front truck until you wedge it at least 10 to 12 degrees. The Bennett doesn't need as...
