Gecko with tail wedge...
This weekend saw the first appearance of the final pre-production version of the Gecko Superlight Slalom Deck. It sports the first tail wedge on a production board. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2102/2242128442_d7c02e154f.jpg The wedge also contains inserts of nylon so that you can tighten down you...

Sorry Donald to offend you YET again! I just thought it better to ask now as the information hasn't yet been available rather than people hassling Michael on the day with the same questions when he's got plenty other things to do. I had hoped that someone (who wouldn't make either you or Michael ang...

Questions for the Organiser...
Just a few questions: 1) Will there be two qualifying runs to decide rankings for the Dual or will it be from your finishing position after the GS run(s)? 2) Will the racers be cone-heading as usual as they walk up the hill or will there be dedicated cone-heads to allow racers 'tweaking'time/a chanc...

News from Gecko's Head Honcho Jeff... There should be 3 pre-production Decks (as opposed to prototypes for testing) at the Cadwell Race. At least one of them will be set up for anyone to take out for a spin. The demo board will be mounted with a "Skennet" front and an RT-S rear, to give a fairer app...

X'd, head to toe!
Is this the second wheel with a slalom skater's name on it? I don't know, but do you realise you can now buy a "Racer-X" complete?-Deck, trucks, wheels and bearings! Who would have thought that this would ever happen? I for one believe that it happened to the one guy that deserves it most. Congrats...

Did anybody tried to work with some inserts, like on snowboards? (loctite recommended) Hi Peter, A British company, Gecko, have gone the insert route with their decks. Not inserts to be screwed into as on a snowboard, but columns of nylon material through which they drill. The advantage it gives yo...

Re: A Simple Proposed Course Rule
Before someone asks, "well, what about a STRAIGHT SPECIAL SLALOM?" Well, the answer would be if it's a straight line of cones from start to finish then it doesn't matter which side to enter! So simple. The reason for that Wesley is that if the competitor blows out some the last few cones, in theory...

Re: Has Anyone Tried The 71mm Bennett Alligators?
After watching Carrasco run the tight slalom at the Worlds on Blast Waves, I'm starting to rethink my notions of what's the best performing wheel diameters. Wes, I think that may have been a 'one-off' to carry speed through the last section of that particular course and the way it was set (also lon...

Well, the previous Gecko Street/Slalom model weighed in at a chubby 650 grams (32.5" long). We just weighed the new deck...550 grams. This is NOT the 'new' construction, just our normal deal! The board is superlight, strong and torsionally stiff, which all equates to lightning quick response and a w...
