If reaction time (for in this example it truly is reaction time....not anticipation) is really to be a factor we could shorten the window- and thus those who did not react within that window would still be standing in the gate. I think .5 seconds would eliminate the reaction time factor almost enti...

[quote="John Gilmour"] The problem is that we race "Sprint" and to do anaerobic sprints of long courses and expect 10 perfect runs to get to teh top....well...it is very very hard to do. It would seem that deemphasizing the start is the easiest thing to do. John, ITS SUPPOSED TO BE HARD TO DO>>>ITS ...

Who can build us some ramps for Da Farm?

Right, some of "us" skate all that stuff too. This however is Slalomskateboarder.com. If it were Poolsparksditchshillsandslalom.com I would agree with you. Were talking about slalom here and slalom racing. Now the way I see it top racers are often separated by 100ths and even 1000ths when racing so ...

Races you'd like to see
I get tired reading all the tech dweeb stuff. No one ever talks about the actual races which is what Slalom is really all about. There have been some Classic Match ups in the last 3 years. Heres a few that come to Mind... Mollica Vs Olson... La Costa 01 GS Dunn VS Gilmour MB 01 Dunn Vs Gilmour Catal...

Rich, have you done any of your own research on the spacer debate? If you have a timer you can set up a course and run 10 runs with and 10 runs without spacers. Average the times together and you will have a mini test true to the slalom application. Run any bearings you wish. IF it turns out slalom ...

Please people, hostility towards a piece of equipment is narrowminded and will not bring Gilmours knees back. Given your experience you could probably turn out a very nice product. S Race Boards has a nice ring to it : ) Your price sugges...

Troy, there is a lot of shame in that last post of yours. I see your point though. It does look like a replica of Howards truck. I see, I think what wes means is when the two bearings dont have a spacer and ring to keep them straight they will, durning a hard turn(side load) tilt and get all crooked inside the relativly soft plastic Hub causing minute friction. Add a spacer and rings and proper nut tension and the whole mess s...
