Looks like a warmer forecast for the rest of the week with 50's on Wed.

Ran by Fountainhead today, what little snow is left should be melted by the end of the week.

That's what I was thinking after trying to skate there last year after the snow. The problem won't be just sweeping salt and sand. It will be with snow melting from the piles.

The forecast doesn't look warm enough for it to start melting until Saturday.

It's pretty easy to reach Fountainhead from I-95 South. It's the exit after Potomac Mills & Vans. From 95 Take the Rt. 123 exit North to Occoquan. Take Rt. 123 for about 5-6 miles. My two cents...

Fountainhead is a smart choice for this time of year (no salt/sand, no wind). No, it's not perfect, but neither is the P&R.

I don't think the conditions of one spot in Gaithersburg should dictate if or where there is a race.

There's a ton of spots out that way for cyber slalom. Any of the office parks that don't have security along Sunrise Valley are good. The path that runs along the Fairfax Co. Parkway is wide enough in that area. The office parks on both sides of Herndon Parkway between Monroe and Spring St. are good...
