Re: skills

the evolution in our sports goes forward. flatland slalom is old school. when i organised the 2006 hannover race, it was only an emergency solution, to go on a flat parking lot, because they cancelled our expo party. flatland slalom is out for most of the skaters. it´s way more fun to race on a slo...

You have to warned them about the "natural speed" of the Trocadéro slope too... I have; they train on much steeper slopes than that... Anyway; those speed freaks are a lot faster than I am; but still I can finish the 2m track (c-t-c) flawless, hè hè ;) Anyway, whoever wants to see some Dutch slalom...

I'm sure that some Dutch riders (AMs) would like to see the cone distance for TS on 7 feet / 2,10m . They have great difficulties with 6,5 feet / 2m because of their fast wheels and technique... But a few are eager to train on 6,5 feet / 2m; I've scared them with the ISSA rule of 1,70m ;) So now the...

Regarding a maximum wheel size for slalom: I'm surprised that no one has made the (to me) common-sense argument of "natural selection," i.e., that the type of course itself will almost always dictate what type of wheel to use. Tight slalom? Who in his or her right mind would use a 92mm Flywheel? (I...

Finally, this is the only pic I have of me on my "Tommy Ryan Turner." This was March 1979 and the board broke in early 1982.
