OK. My question had a reason: I don´t like to see the course being set by a top racer alone. Setting the course with many different people may be a good alternative, if you agree on something. The best solution would be to have the course set by an experienced racer who does not compete in the race....

To get back to the topic: My opinion, if there are many spectators, a good announcer is worth a lot. not much practice time. 3 - 4 runs in the special, 5 maybe. ( no, 5 is too much. We have 55 Ams in Brixlegg, that would be 250+ practice runs.........no) 2-3 in the tight. no max cone DQ 1 sec DQ pen...

I have never been to Heiko´s but I can imagine because I know Heiko. The best ever skateshop I have seen was the Coyote Grind Lounge in Stockholm. It was hard to believe that something like this really existed, undescribeable. You gotta see to believe. I´ll keep you informed about the fest Meanwhile...

Chris E- nice dream. would it still be small local guys putting on a race that the big corporate guys would sponsor and tape and have monitors and sound systems- or would we be at their mercy with only the corporate guys holding big races with UN GODLY entry fees and travel halfway around the world...

The ranking should not be the main factor to go to a race.
My strategy ist: go to the race, skate,have fun, go back home statisfied
That is all.
Fun is what counts
World ranking comes third
First is fun
Second is the result in the actual race

On the way home from Grüningen I thought about how great a slalom race could be. Not that Grüningen wasn´t any good, it was well organized and everything, but again, there were very little spectators, no suspense for those who watched........ I think Jani can do it. I just checked and saw that Jacks sections were under the USA folder. Since we somehow all agreed that the Worlds should change from continent to continent every year I think a seperate WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS folder would be the best. Then you can create your own 2006 WORLDS top...

Times and placings are correct. I could have told without a stopwatch that Mr. Baumann was the fastest. But Don, a riders meeting before the race, better before practice, could do wonders. Thank you Donald for a great Sunday of skateboarding. It was great to change the location, good decision.

The turnout was amazing and everyone had a good time I think.

The skating level is still on the rise as we all could witness.
