I have to add: Jodli (Jadranko) is pretty good at something he did not want to do at first. He has become fast. Fear him. AND: Many many thanks for 3 years of great times in Grueningen. I hope to make it to the 20th anniversary of this race! Thank you guys, you deserve big respect for the things you...

Hey Donald not quite true...........I almost backed off from Avila´s hill.......very steep in my opinion, plus I was not prepared for it. Now this is my personal opinion: I like slalom on all slopes except uphill, too exhausting. It should not be too steep because Stride´s weight advantage will get ...

Can you state why you think it MUST be held on a hill? I think the col thing is that slalom can be (also be) done on flat. It shows pumping skills and not how good you can go down a hill and avoid hitting cones standing in the way....(oh my god I hope I did not open a can of worms here....) Just int...

Peter, last year in Grueningen a lot of things went wrong, we talked about it and solved it. Maybe you should clearly state what is wrong in the first place and not simply complain and say the organizers did not get it together. I think it is a little unfair and not very polite to simply complain an...

Funny, or better, interesting. We had the same discussion last weekend when we visited a new cocrete park before going to the Grüningen World Cup. We skated the 9 feet bowl all day and were the only ones wearing safety gear and knee sliding bails out. I mean this was a concrete almost vertical bowl,...

[2004] Grüningen first impressions
Hi everybody, first of all, and above everything else, I would like to thank and give the biggest props to the organizers, especially Jadranko. They did a great job this year. Everything was well prepared and planned, from the cone judges with their signs to the head-to-head board. The start ramps. ...

yes positive! Listen everybody: The weather can change fast in the Alps, so don´t worry, do the slalom weather dance three times a day and come to race. There are several different weather predictions for the area, so it is hard to trust anybody. The course is open for free practice from 8 o´clock o...
