I have run timing systems with over 4000 ft of wire (Trackmate and Chronocone). Both worked fine. Ski race systems run with wire over 3 miles long. I don't think we are coming close to the limits, as long as the timer is imune to the noise and the additional capacitance loading of very long cables....

Trackmate cable length record?

I set up my system with 1320 meters to one switch and about 25 meters to the other one. It worked without a problem until the rain came and one of the tapeswitches shortcut. :) Is this the longest cable anybody tried so far? We have a slalom race on the 5th, but even if we are slow, I doubt that we will need more than 65 seconds, hehe. The downhill race is on the 9th, and it will be longer than 65 seconds. Since I haven't recieved the Trackmate yet, I don't really know how it works, and I can't really say if we will use...

Got more info now.

The trucks are the first ones made by Xcaliber in around 73-74, but the deck is later and dated at about 75-76.
Appearently, it was "a good find".

These wheels had no X on them. I guess they are changed then.

And I got a picture of the logo now, so I won't need another.

I have changed wheels to 66mm ZZ and I can't stop skating it! My other boards instantly became quite boring, hehe!
