SFCF, Ashland, KY Summary
There's a TON of stuff to say about this year's race, but it was a HUGE success. We had 20 racers and MANY first timers, some even for first time riding a freakin' slalom board!! It was awesome!! HUGE thanks go to my DHB bros Mark Nix and crew for building our start ramps and hauling them from NC to...

I just stumbled on this thread, but find myself in agreement with this. Bottom line, we don't want to be, and shouldn't be overly uptight, BUT we are at a stage where many slalom scenes aren't very big and the occasional race is the biggest glimpse people get of us. If someone's REALLY out of line w...

Speaking of the Big Tweleven, how 'bout that Big Least Champion 'neers? Right now Bud Wilkinson is rolling in his grave. And Dave Gale is probably dancing on it (barefoot, of course). And regarding the tiger vs. tiger thing, I meant two GOOD teams. Well, one good team and LSU, actually. :-) Oh yeah...

You'll find there are as many opinions about this as there are skaters. That said: As far as truck width: I agree with Dave. It really depends on what kind of slalom you want to skate. If you're looking at wider courses on steeper grade (GS), you may want something a bit wider in a truck. If you wan...

Thanks to all who could make it. The race got called early due to rain, but it was still a GREAT afternoon of skating!! The local crew is definitely speeding up! Like my bro Marty said, you'll get as many opinions as there are skaters. The question you may want to ask yourself is do you prefer flat cambered boards or stiffer concave boards? i was never a fan of a split on the front. mabey for faster gs it would work but for anything else it turned too slow, it felt like using an rts as a front. imo one truck design cant do both jobs in slalom. I don't know the first two, but I think a gimme gate is what some call a "Negative Cone." It's where the cone is off-set, but in a way that you, in the "natural flow" of the course, go on the inside, not the outside, of the cone. It's hard to describe without a visual example; so I hope that's prett...
Here's a random but relevant question. How wide-spread are Trackers, Indies, Radikal, Randall, Bennett (or any number of other) trucks that have SAE specs outside of the U.S.?
