As far as equipement and the state of racing,I started racing thanks to WLAC,My Bros were racing slalom and downhill in the 70s. The Gear we have now I believe is better than the stuff they were riding back then. This should make it way easier for beginners to catch up quick with lots of practice an...

All the technique I have developed when spinning is from all the years practicing and competing. When I pull my arms in I increase my speed,Like iceskaters do. as far as getting dizzy,The more you practice the more you get used to the funk! Keep on spinning.........

Chicken and I set Sunday's La Costa 2002. We did consider the course dimensions and kicked some of the cones out a bit to help all make it through! I actually sat there during the Open warm-ups and coached all who would listen on how to run GS (ie: a true GS course requires the rider to turn out ahe...

The SSS crew runs tight every week! 6.5 average on moderate hills- We also run GS and hybrid to be well rounded in all phases of racing! Every one of us has quivers. I think alot of racers should also be rounded so that when a good TS course is run at an event, Organizers dont need to see cone carna...

An alternative to toe blocks are using belt sanding paper (better traction) and raising the front up with maybe and eighth inch riser pad! this will stop the feeling of your foot falling off the front from riding cambered boards and it will also give you more traction in the back!

Catalina had a good element of speed and reflex twitching! The main reason I brought up the subject is to talk about having more variety at the races!!!!!!!!Hybrid is fun,But just that! Big GS is a rush! and full speed tight is The rad ! On setting courses: Your all right! Every hill is different! T...

The only reason I have brought up the Question about running more TS is to have more variety at the races. Hybrid and GS courses are sometimes to simular. Besides slalom has been around long enough that most riders have quivers with tight boards setup and skills for Tight racing! Bring on the hotrod...

It really depends on the pitch of the hill, Tight courses can be run on GS type hills if the cones are spread alowing the riders to twitch at speed!Besides for some two day events, These type courses can be set! We like to train on moderately pitched hills. I personally do not like to ride courses w...
