I agree, a harder, say 94a Cambria would be nice on the right surface but in terms of selling them...I owuld guess the market would be real small. On the other hand I cant wait to get some 90A Avalons...with some wheel trimming and they'll be the ticket for a fast hybrid. I think I can here the FedE...

Hans, our class was for the total beginner. Every student in the class had never been on a skateboard! We started at the real basics: safety equipment, board components and what they do or how they work, basic pushing, stance and then we laid down the cones. You'll have to decide if your going to ru...

My time was 25.31 +3cones. When I look at the photos posted that show the Women's record holder I notice they are starting with a ramp and there is a significant amount of hill (1st 1/3 of the course). I think it would be safe to say that the "record holders" are for that hill, on that day, period. ...

We tried the 100 Cone Challenge on Saturday at Shoreline. This parking lot has a slight downhill (1st 25 cones) maybe 1% grade, then it goes slightly uphill (2nd 25 cones) then downhill(20 cones), then up (20 cones)and then flat (10 cones). We used a timer with a manual start at the 1st gate and a I...

It does seem that many of the newer Independent trucks are lacking in quality. Here is what I have done to "fix" the problem you describe: Take the hanger off and the wheels off the hanger. Insert the hanger, Axle end into a drill or lathe and file the aluminum casting until it is straight. Be sure ...

If you're not using a Giro you're not getting the protection you need. No, I'm not sponsored by them, but I do recommend that everyone purchase a helmet that has been rated and that will provide protection. The two models I use are the "Semi" and the "Switchblade". This is riser block that is maybe 2mm thick on one side and the other side is is paper thin. This gives me back maybe 2 degrees or less. I recently removed th...
