I just wanted to revive this topic, and to update that I am currently looking for ANY skate-worthy shoe in size-8 for the left foot, as long as it doesn't have an enormously thick/puffy tongue. I have an unused, unmodified right shoe for trade, and will have more in the future.

Unfortunately, the most inexpensive is NOT the least fancy. Nino, the part of Van Dorn we are riding is in the Franconia/Alexandria area of VA. It’s just about too fast and scary, and with too much large-truck traffic, to be used as a slalom spot. Most of the time we go there just to bomb it. If you still want to join in on a session, let us know you are int...

So, how did the race today go? Did rain force you to end early? Who won?

Sorry I couldn’t be there. I really wanted to, but had to recover from the food poisoning that struck me last night.

I may be up for some slalom tomorrow and/or some Oakwood afterward.
