She'll be 6-7 weeks post major back surgery so we'll be playing that by ear, but I'm betting she will be there.... So here's my plan... we get the gals to a shoe store just before us guys hea...

Re: thanks tod
Hi tod, thanks for the tip. The deck I jave has multiple drill pattern so I shall try the shorter wheel base. I wasnt sure about the wheel size but what you suggested makes sense. Better start saving cos skate stuff is very expensive in britain. Be cool. Mike, spending other peoples money is a wint...

Mike, A little shorter wheelbase, like 18-19in. between the inner truck holes and a board with a little livelier flex for your 125lbs. might make the learning curve a bit easier. Also a larger wheel like an Avalon will help you maintain momentum more readily... IMHO When I first started learning to ...

Same here Jason... I do take mine apart to inspect the kingpin and when I put them back together I use a rag with just a little Tri Flow sprayed in it and wipe all the contact points clean before I reassemble. This has reduced the noise somewhat. BE SURE TO PUT THE SAFETY CLIP BACK ON THE KINGPIN!!!

Cameron, The Grippins are a center set bearing wheel so you'll have to take that into consideration when matching them up to a truck, especially narrower or "cut down" hangers. Grippins mount up 9/16" narrower "BETWEEN" the wheels than a stock Avalon... the between measurement is what to pay attenti...

Cameron, You'll have a cream of the crop setup there!!! The S in S-camber is the S#!T!! I have the Crossfire, it's a nice full shape for about any type of stance and shoe size... :-) Although I don't have a Radikal front, I do run a 45* 105 Seismic which offers basically the same sort of single acti...

Wesly, I run 45* Seismics on front exclusively and I put the regular ole angled pad in there to steepen the steering angle on all my combinations. I'll adjust wheelbase or rear angles before I'll mess with the front steering. Its a "feel thang" with me I guess... I've also had really good results ru...

Here comes the fuzz
Chris, My hill is a sure bust without a permit... It's an ex-state highway thats been bypassed and is now county 2 lane. Give me some time, ( I'm in the process of moving into new digs) and I'll do the dirty work on this and see if it's worth the trouble... Believe me, there's other options out here...

cf, Can you discribe the surface for me? I'm assuming it's the same concrete as in the video of the last race. Any "drainage crown" or side-pitch to the sidewalk? that would make for offcamber gates through the s-curves? At 30 mph that could become rather "touchy feel-ly" I'm really looking forward ...

Yeah, 85ft 80r. Thats what I've been riding since the St. Louis race. The 80 Avalon is a magic thing, grippy yet fast... I just want to make clear that I really think that the seismics have been easier for me to learn on because they are so "linear" I feel the Rtx tips into a turn slowly and then ra...
