I think my 77a's are like 98a's today..., refreshing 17 degrees. Maybe we should have a winter solstice fest and line up some ice cones or something? My bearings are still frozen, BTW...

Any Skaters in Vegas?
I'll be in Vegas the 17th thru the 21st. I am considering taking a setup for casual strip skating and maybe some slalom. Any skaters out that way looking for a Sunday session?

you always need to see and skate the venue if you want to set a course properly.printed out examples won't help here, even though the idea is nice it's not very realistic. Perhaps as part of the sanctioning of an event the course description/proposed layout and course-setter credentials should be reviewed as part of the process? This could be a board or committee review. These course setting creds could be a team of people BTW, not just one person. There is no reason ...

I don't get the no helmet no pads thing. How tough or cool are you when you are dead? In the X-Games street event I don't think a single skater was wearing pads or a helmet. ???? That is very irresponsible (endorsing and no pads). I think sponsors of events like that should be liable for the events...

Marcos- I raced the Super G and would have preferred a ramp start. I pushed in hard and could not get my footing right and, as a consequence, did 4-wheel drifts around the first 5 or 6 turns! Steve made me a big cutaway last year early spring - big stable cruiser. I took it with me to Texas but decided not to ride it. Likely a heavier skater 190lbs+ would have loved it on that hill. I rode it three times and Oles rodes it for a couple weeks. Nice construction, stiff flex. The board is ju...

I'm 30lbs heavier now than best weight skating in the past. Flex gets a little too loose with today's truck...
