Welcome Justin, Now there are a whopping THREE slalom skaters in PA. I live in York and Kevin (KMG) lives about 3 hours west of here. The only spots I've found are school parking lots. There are some good roads, but they all have too much traffic. Look around for big, sloping parking lots. Commuter ...

Ohm's qualifying was CRAP!!!! And then the CRAPSTER had the gall to take me out in the first round :( But seriously, though, Brian put on another hella fun DC Outlaw race. We should all thank him endlessly for giving us regular slalom races here in the mid-atlantic. Dude, you can always count on a B...

Donald, The reason the "Rookie of the Year" award doesn't have much meaning is because we don't yet have a governing body for the sport of slalom skateboarding. Until that happens, we're just a bunch of skaters voicing our opinions. Not that that's a bad thing, but we just don't have "Official" stat...

10/30 Bank Slalom
What is the start time for the bank slalom at Landsdowne??
I was there today, 10/23, and the attendant said he thought maybe they were opening early for us, but really hadn't a clue.
Met a new old skooler and told him to check here for the correct time.

Hey Brian, Been riding that Comet?? I'm staying home too. I'd like to ride Landsdowne sometime this weekend, since I've never been there and will be racing Bank Slalom on Halloween. If you're close and available, it'd be cool to have someone to ride with. Sat. or Sun. late afternoon is best. Hell, I...

Ya know, when you watch Brian skate, he doesn't LOOK like he would be as fast as he is, but that boy (I can say boy, 'cause I'm older than him) freakin' rips!! Also, he was putting on races when the FCR series was still in the planning stages. Curt Kimbel said at the time something like "Everyone el...

We used to have a "dedicated track" here in York, PA. One of only five in the country......... I checked it out two years ago for a practice spot. Two problems. One, it never went to totally flat, or a bit uphill, at the end, this meant HARD carving or sole-wearing footbraking. Two, the surface was ...

Thanks for the heads up, Chris. Maybe they should alert buyers to that at purchase time. I haven't had a chance to ride mine since that first time, been busy landscaping the yard (4 solid days of dig, scoop mulch, dig more, scoop more mulch...). I'm so damn sore I'll be lucky to make it to this week...

No offense to anyone, but here's what I've observed running a skate program for kids for three years....
